Police raids target notorious kingpin’s nephew

La Vega, Dominican Republic.- Military Police patrols, and Antinarcotics carried out more than 12 raids Thursday morning in businesses, auto agencies and apartment complexes where vehicles, documents and other items were seized.

The authorities look for Pablo Martínez, alleged lieutenant of Pedro Alejandro Castillo Paniagua, aka “Quirinito”, who after being convicted of homicide was declared dead in July 2017 and three months later, in August that year, the authorities reported that he was alive and on the loose.

In addition, several people who have not been identified were arrested.

Pedro Castillo Paniagua is a nephew of the notorious former kingpin, Quirino Paulino.
