Dominican music icon wins 2 Latin Grammys

Santo Domingo.- Dominican music icon Juan Luis Guerra won his second statuette by winning in the category of “Best Tropical Album” with “Literal,” at the 20th Latin Grammy Awards, held Thursday night in Las Vegas.

Guerra also obtained the first gramophone of the night in the category “Best tropical song” with “Kitipún.”

The Dominican artist was competing with “Barrios de mi tierra (songs by Rubén Blades)” – Iván Barrios, “Candela” – Vicente García, “Tropicalia” – Ilegales and “Milly & Company” – Milly Quezada.
