Central Bank denies circulation of counterfeit RD $ 1,000 bills

Santo Domingo, DR

The Central Bank denied that false RD $ 1,000.00 bills are in circulation throughout the country as the rumor spread through social networks.

In that sense, the bank urged citizens to go to the website of that financial institution or contact their staff to clear up any concerns if they have doubts about any possibly fake notes.

“The news is not true,” said Banco Central in a statement posted on its Twitter account.
