Dominican Republic 2020 budget tops US$18.8B

Santo Domingo.- The Chamber of Deputies on Thur. converted into law the bill for the General State Budget, corresponding to 2020.

Next year’s budget of RD$997.1 billion (US$18.8 billion) had already been approved by the Senate in two consecutive roll calls.

Previously the deputies failed to approve the piece because of some pro-government holdouts and demands for further debates in the lower chamber.
