Downpours continue over East region, partly cloudy skies throughout

SANTO DOMINGO.- The National Meteorology Office forecasts downpours continuing Thursday for the East region, from a trough over the Mona Passage .

It said partly cloudy skies will continue during the morning hours, spreading to other parts of the country.

Onamet said the trough will continue dragging humidity with increasing cloudiness during the next 36 hours, and dissipate by late Friday, with a low probability of rainfall throughout the country during the weekend.

It issued advisories of higher than normal waves along Atlantic Coast, for which of small craft should remain close to shore.
