Partly cloudy skies, scattered showers, high surf

Santo Domingo.- The Meteorology Office (ONAMET) forecasts partly cloudy skies and scattered showers Thursday morning for the east and northeast, from the humidity dragged by the east-northeast wind, increasing by the afternoon.

A high pressure system over the Atlantic coast will bring strong winds during the next 24 to 36 hours, with a high probability of scattered but sometimes heavy showers.

Onamet said a frontal system over western Cuba will increase rainfall for the northern part of the country during the weekend.

It issued advisories for the Atlantic and Caribbean coasts and Samana Bay, where small craft should operate close to shore.
