Big business hails measures to reactivate the economy

Santo Domingo.- The National Business Council (CONEP) on Mon. labeled as positive the general guidelines announced by President Danilo Medina for the gradual reactivation of economic activities.

The business elite said the measures “establish the basis for continuing to flatten the curve, while mitigating the economic impact and social freedoms in the Dominican Republic.”

“We welcome the restart of the country’s economic activity in a timely and orderly manner, keeping the health situation under control by minimizing the contagion of the vulnerable population and the control and isolation of those infected, and constant prevention with the rest of the population,” said CONEP president, Pedro Brache.
