Police raided online newspaper office

Santo Domingo.– Police agents raided the office and home of Jose Angel Gomez, the manager of online newspaper elsiglo21.com, suspected of hacking into people’s emails.

According to Julio Cury, Gomez’s attorney, the officers took documents, videos and three computers on Saturday, as part of a raid that began last night.

General Prosecutor Radhames Jimenez said that complaints from unidentified people prompted the raid. No one has been charged and the news site has been disabled.
