Agents arrest two with 25,979 tablets presumably ecstasy

SANTO DOMINGO. – Two people were arrested with 25,979 tablets presumably ecstasy, weighing 8.9kilos and 20 portions of marijuana, the National Antinarcotics Agency (DNCD) revealed Monday.

Juan Jose Perez, 47, and Ileanny Morillo, 24 were detained during a search by agents and National District Assistant DAs in a apartment on Independencia, corner Italia, in the capital.

In a statement, the DNCD said agents with a search warrant seized the tablets and the marijuana, adding that other people as yet unidentified are on the loose in connection to the case.
