Tropical storm forms east of the Lesser Antilles

Santo Domingo.- The National Hurricane Center in Miami on Wednesday reported the formation of Tropical Storm Gonzalo, located about 2,010 km east of the Lesser Antilles.

The National Weather Office (Onamet) said the storm’s maximum sustained winds are 75 kph.

“The storm is moving west-northwest, and a generally westward movement with an increase in speed is expected in the coming days.”
