Weekend: showers, mild temps, partly cloudy

Santo Domingo,- The National Meteorology Office forecasts mild temperatures and partly cloudy skies and widely scattered showers for the South and East regions and mostly sunny in the rest of the country.

A low pressure system and the prevailing east-southeast wind will increase cloudiness Friday afternoon in most regions, except the Northwest and Southwest.

For the weekend Meteorology forecasts downpours during the afternoon and evening hours for the Caribbean coast, Central Cibao and some areas of the Central Mountains.

it said higher than normal waves the Atlantic and Caribbean coasts, for which small craft should remain in port.

It recommends caution for boats operating within Samaná Bay, where they shouldn’t venture out to sea.
