Showers continue, with thunderstorms

Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorology Office forecasts that the showers accompanied by thunderstorms will continue in the afternoon and early evening.

It said the rains will be more frequent in the North, Northeast, Southeast and Central Mountains, although less intense than in previous days.

Onamet said a low pressure system will start move away from Dominican territory on Tuesday, and temperatures will continue seasonably mild, from the prevailing Northeast wind.

For Monday partly cloudy skies with scattered showers in the afternoon and early evening.
