Local man extradited to New York

Santo Domingo.– A 49-year-old Dominican man, wanted in New York, was extradited Friday to the United States where he faces charges for bank fraud.

According to the National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD), Pedro Mendez Mora was sent to New York on flight 494 from Delta Airlines.

He will appear before a NY District Court accused of trying to defraud a financial institution. Mendez is also charged with an alleged theft in violation of several articles of the Penal Code of the American Union.
