Jailed banker says colleague plots his murder

Santo Domingo.– The hosts of the radio program The Morning Sun (El Sol de la Mañana) said that inmate Arturo Pellerano sent a letter to the Attorney General’s Office where he reveals there is a plot to murder him.

Reportedly, Pellerano accused his fellow prisoner Luis Alvarez Renta of the plot. The letter also states that Pellerano’s relatives are alarmed and ask the Justice Ministry to act accordingly.

Pellerano is serving a sentence for bank fraud in Najayo prison.

The popular radio program is headed by the journalists Euri Cabral, Julio Martínez Pozo, Jose Laluz, Víctor Gómez Casanova, Melton Pineda and María Elena Núñez.
