Downpours give way to scattered showers, cooler temp;s

Santo Domingo.- The week long downpours have been reduced nationwide, according to the National Meteorology Office, which forecasts widely scattered showers for the North, Northeast, Southeast, Cibao Valley and Central Mountains.

It said the northeast is wind will bring lower temperatures and waves as high as 11 feet to the Atlantic coast.

Meteorology said warnings are in effect for small craft, which should remain in port, and residents in low-lying coastal zones on possible flooding.
