Police name killers of lawyer in Puerto Rican kingpin case

Santo Domingo.- The Police identified the alleged shooters who gunned down the lawyer Jose A. Evangelista, 37, in the Piantini sector last week, and who had defended one of the convicts in the case of the Puerto Rican kingpin Jose Figueroa Agosto.

The Police said the suspects are Jerson Antonio Carpio, Franklin Domingo Mota, (El Gori or Guapo), Victor Manuel de la Cruz (Kinkón) and one other identified only as El Gordito, who’s still on the loose.

The Police also determined that a 1990 Toyota Camry from where Evangelista was shot belongs to an Army corporal.
