Beloved actress, producer Nuryn Sanlley dead at 59

Santo Domingo.- Beloved actress and kids programs producer Nuryn Sanlley, 59, died Monday night from complications of a September 25 surgery to remove a brain tumor.

Local media report that the performer died in her residence near 11:15pm.

A funeral service will start 8am Tuesday in the Funeraria Blandino on Lincoln Av. and will be buried in the Puerta del Cielo Cemetery 11am Wednesday.

Sanlley’s character "La Pinky" set the mold for children’s shows for decades.
