Free bus service on election day, OMSA director said

Santo Domingo.– Tomorrow Sunday the buses of the Metropolitan Bus Service Office (OMSA) will run for free, due to the election day, the Office for the Reorganization of Transportation (Opret) announced on Friday.

According to OMSA director Ignacio Ditrén, 200 buses will be in service around the country to move people within metropolitan areas who need to be transported during the day.

Transport Reform Office (Opret) assistant director Leonel Carrasco revealed that the Santo Domingo Metro will also operate for free on Line 1 and Line 2. However, Line 2 is only available between stations on the avenues Gregorio Luperon and Maximo Gomez.
