DNCD agents arrest major drug leader

Santo Domingo.– An alleged Italian drug trafficker, presumably the head of a network that smuggled cocaine from South America, was arrested by the National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) at the Las Americas International Airport.

Dante Tagliaventi, aka Danilo, was returned to Antigua and Barbuda, but first he will be tried in Puerto Rico, where he is accused of conspiracy to smuggle drugs into the United States, according to authorities.
