High temperatures, sunny skies

Santo Domingo.- The high temperatures and mostly sunny skies will continue as in previous days, the National Meteorology Office forecast Monday, with some widely scattered showers and thunderstorms for the Central Mountains and border zone in the afternoon and evening.

It said the southeast wind and a high pressure over the north Atlantic will mean low probability of rainfall through Wednesday afternoon, when a trough approaching the Caribbean could bring some widely scattered showers to the Southwest, Southeast, Central Mountains and border area.

Because of the bright skies and higher than normal temperatures, Meteorology recommends drinking plenty of liquids and avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun.
