Tropical Storm Fred threatens Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo.- Tropical Storm Fred, which formed Tuesday night, will hit the Dominican Republic this Wednesday, generating a significant amount of rain, gusts of wind, thunderstorms and possible floods.

The phenomenon moves towards the west with near speed of 28 kilometers per hour and maximum sustained winds of about 65 kilometers per hour and some stronger gusts.

Its impacts in the Dominican Republic would begin early Wednesday in the southeast
