British woman to be charged in gruesome murder

PUERTO PLATA, Dominican Republic.- A foreign woman in a SUV ran over and killed her paramour at the entrance to the resort of Cofresi, just five kilometers west of the coastal city.

The victim Miguel Antonio Francisco, 37, lived in the resort subdivision Costambar and died of severe trauma caused by a Toyota SUV driven by his paramour Nicole Jayne Melhuish, 37, of Great Britain.

Witnesses quoted by local media say the vehicle driven by Melhuish ran over Francisco frumpled body of several times, after being hit while on Yamaha 125 motorcycle.

According to the National Police, Francisco lived with the foreigner, who allegedly made ??several calls before the incident.

Melhuish was arrested and taken to the Puerto Plata precinct, from where she’ll be sent for arraignment on charges of voluntary manslaughter.
