Scattered showers, searing temperatures

Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecasts higher than normal temperatures, reaching as high as 35 degrees C (95degrees F) in some places, mostly during the day Monday.

It said a trough and the humidity dragged by the prevailing east-southeast wind will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms to the Northeast, Southeast, Central Mountains and border area.

Onamet adds that small craft shouldn’t venture out to sea on higher than normal waves along all the coasts.
