Scattered showers Thursday and Friday

SANTO DOMINGO.-The National Meteorology Office (ONAMET) forecasts increasing cloudiness and scattered showers Thursday afternoon and early evening.

It said the showers would be accompanied by thunderstorms mostly for the Northeast, Southeast, Central Mountains and border area, and mostly sunny for the rest of the country.

Onamet forecasts showers and thunderstorms along the Caribbean coast, Northeast and south slope of the Central Mountains Friday, from a tropical wave approaching from the Lesser Antilles, although the seasonably high temperatures will continue.

It cautions small craft to remain near shore as the high waves continue along the Caribbean Coast.
