Entire south coast under hurricane watch

MIAMI.- The National Hurricane Center Office Wednesday morning issued a hurricane watch for the country’s entire south coast, from Isla Saona to Pedernales on the Haitian border, as Tropical Storm Isaac’s projected path takes it closer to Hispaniola.

The National Meteorology Office also issued alerts for the entire country, and noted that a hurricane warning means that in 48 hours or less, those areas may be under one or two of the effects associated with that storm.
