Isaac heads toward Cuba

Santo Domingo.- Heavy rain is still falling in Haiti and the Dominican Republic as the center of Tropical Storm Isaac is leaving La Hispaniola island and heads toward Cuba.

Haiti experienced 51 mms of rain in some areas, the country still has over 400,000 inhabitants living in makeshift tents.

Isaac was expected to weaken again crossing much of the length of Cuba on Saturday and remain a tropical storm as it approaches the Keys on Sunday. It is predicted to reach hurricane status by Monday evening.
