A weekend of showers over much of the country

Santo Domingo.- The National Weather Office (Onamet) forecast showers Friday and all weekend over much of the country, with some thunderstorms.

It the showers will start today noon over the border aera, Central Mountains, Northwest Line and the Caribbean Coast, from a combination of two troughs, one over Puerto Rico and the other over the Windward Channel, but tapering off into the evening.

Onamet said the afternoon showers will continue into the weekend over the Central Mountains and border area, as well as the seasonably high temperatures.
