Audit gives ex president’s budget handling a passing grade

Santo Domingo.- The Accounts Chamber on Sunday affirmed that the Presidency Ministry correctly managed the funds allocated for 2008-2011, during the Leonel Fernández administration.

An audit conducted of the Presidency Ministry’s budget management revealed that the entity complied with the laws and regulations, and showed ethical conduct by officials during that period.

Transparency

It said in an analysis of the management every year, the report found that they adhered to the criteria of transparency required by accounting provisions.

It adds that ?? the audit conducted by the company BDO SRL, was supervised by the Accounts Chamber, and approved by its resolutions issued October 18, 2012.
