Hundreds of agents guard opposition party headquarters

Santo Domingo.- The headquarters of Dominican Republic’s opposition party (PRD) is ready to start the disciplinary trial against former president Hipólito Mejía, PRD acting president Andres Bautista, general secretary Orlando Jorge and of Organization Geanilda Vasquez .

The hearing is scheduled to start 9am at the organization offices on Enrique Jiménez Moya Av., where crowd control barricades and 300 Police agents aand private security have cordoned off the area.

Expected to arrive are Jorge and Vasquez who confirmed they’ll attend as well as representatives for Mejia and Bautista.
