Glitch leads to chaos in Santo Domingo Metro

Santo Domingo.- The mile-long lines and the ensuing chaos at the Santo Domingo Metro and Cable Car stations continue to be “our daily bread” for users who use this means of transport on a daily basis, despite the fact that they no longer exist.

There were no restrictions to a certain number per wagon.

The lines to board the train extend several meters, increasing in the so-called “peak hours.”

The Office for the Reorganization of Transport (Opret) reported this morning that the situation is due to a fault in the signaling system of the Concepción Bona head station, which caused delays in the movement of trains on Line 2 as well as in its connection with Line 1.
