A wet weekend

Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecast rains for this Friday and Saturday due to a trough and for Sunday due to the indirect effects of the tropical disturbance located east of the Lesser Antilles.

The entity explained that from the morning hours of this Friday there will be cloudy increases with scattered and temporary showers, mainly over towns in the north, northeast and the Cibao Valley and that around noon precipitation will increase in the form of downpours with thunderstorms and possible bursts of wind

It said tthat these downpours will be more frequent over towns in the southeast, southwest, northwest, Cordillera Central and border areas.

While on Friday night the rainfall will decrease and give way to a sky with little cloudiness.
