Showers continue, flash flood warning for south-central region

Santo Domingo.- The Emergency Operations Center (COE) continues landslide and flash flooding alerts for residents in low-lying areas near rivers and streams in Monte Plata and Monseñor Noel provinces and Greater Santo Domingo

Meanwhile the National Office Meteorology (ONAMET) forecasts moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms will continue, from the humidity which remains over Dominican Republic’s northern regions.

It said the shows will continue but not as frequent over the Northeast, Southeast, Southwest, Central Mountains and border area and warns of saturated soil from the precipitation over the last few days.
