The government informed that for the week of September 9, fuels would remain unchanged.
Despite the fact that Texas crude averaged US$85.58 up to Wednesday, the government made a subsidy of RD$221 million available to prevent fuel prices from affecting Dominicans’ pockets.
This was informed by the vice-minister of Internal Commerce, Ramón Pérez Fermín, who affirmed that the charge is much lower in relation to past months and explained that although petroleum has represented a decrease of 7.7% in relation to the previous week, it maintains an accumulated increase of 18% so far this year.
Among the key issues that continue to affect current prices is the decrease in prices due to expectations of lower world demand as a result of the fear of an economic recession, the war in Ukraine, with more than six months of hostility, and the significant increase in oil reserves during the previous week by 8.844 million barrels.
For the week of September 10 to 16, 2022, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and MiPymes has decided that fuels will be sold at the following prices:
Premium Gasoline will be sold at RD$293.60 per gallon, maintaining its price.
Regular Gasoline RD$274.50 per gallon maintains its price.
Regular Gasoil RD$221.60 per gallon maintains its price.
Gasoil Óptimo RD$241.10 per gallon maintains its price.
Avtur RD$298.91 per gallon maintains its price.
Kerosene RD$338.10 per gallon maintains its price.
Fuel Oíl #6 RD$192.11 per gallon maintains its price.
Fuel Oíl 1%S RD$211.77 per gallon maintains its price.
Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) RD$147.60 per gallon maintains its price.
Natural Gas RD$28.97 per m3 maintains its price.
