The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) and the U.S. National Hurricane Center reported Wednesday that tropical depression # 7 of this 2022 hurricane season has formed.
In this regard, the National Hurricane Center indicated in its 11:00 a.m. bulletin on Wednesday that the system could move near or over parts of the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and Hispaniola (the Dominican Republic and Haiti) this weekend and early next week, “which could generate heavy rains and some wind impacts in these areas, and interests there should monitor the progress of the depression.”
The Onamet gives a strict follow-up to tropical depressions (U.S. NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER).

The National Hurricane Center detailed that “the system is expected to move through the Leeward Islands (Lesser Antilles) on Friday or Friday night, carrying heavy rain and possible wind impacts.”
“Interests in the Leeward Islands should monitor the progress of the depression, as tropical storm warnings may be required for some islands later today,” he explained.
