Venezuela the peacemaker in Dominican nationality row

Santo Domingo.- Dominican Republic and Haiti will meet in the next few days after the dialogue between the two countries started in Venezuela, in the aftermath of the Constitutional Court ruling, the head of the Immigration Council announced Thursday.

Interior and Police minister José Ramón Fadul noted that the first meeting was already held last Tuesday.

Interviewed in the National Palace, Fadul said Venezuela plays a peacemaker role in the dialogue between the two countries, after the controversial ruling on nationality.

He refused to reveal specifics about the next meeting, but affirmed that it will count on the participation of senior officials.
