A feeling of insecurity and fear is experienced day by day among the community members who reside in the Villas Agrícolas and Villa Juana sectors in the National District, in the face of the crime wave that affects them. Both neighborhoods appear in the notes of the National Police with an increase in the incidence of crime between the 13th and the 30th of last month, the dates on which it increased 17 and 140%, respectively.

Despite the extensive presence of law enforcement officers, the locals of these sectors believe that the unscrupulous “blatantly mock” the officers, allowing them to continue carrying out their illegal actions. Regarding this, the owner of a grocery store in Villas Agrícolas indicated that the mockery of the National Police agents is and will continue to tarnish their work, since he understands that there should be better organized monitoring in the area.

“They pass (the police) and there are many who pass, but immediately after they pass, there are twice as many unfortunate criminals doing the wrong thing.” Those barbarians lie in wait for the policemen, and after they cross, their hours are numbered, ”he commented, while mentioning that he paid one of the criminals so that criminal hands did not touch his grocery store.
