Some scattered showers, mild temps, high waves

Santo Domingo.- The National Office of meteorology (Onamet) forecasts continuing scattered showers mostly in the afternoon over the Northeast, Southeast and Central Mountains, from the prevailing east-northeast wind.

It said a trough in the upper atmosphere southeast of the country will have little effect on, except for lower temperatures during early morning and evening.

Onamet said the precipitation will taper off during the next 24 to 48 hours, but some widely scattered showers will continue over the Northeast, Southeast, Southwest and Central Mountains.

It also issued warnings on higher –than-normal waves for all coasts, where small craft should remain close to shore.
