Abinader: “Open skies with the US will be accompanied by incentives”

President Luis Abinader indicated that “in the next few weeks, we could be thinking about signing an open skies agreement” with the United States after months of negotiations.

“This agreement is very important, because it will bring greater competitiveness to this sector, which needs it, and higher quality,” said the president.

He added that “this is accompanied by some incentives that the government is giving for the establishment of new companies,” which “would also mean lowering the prices of (air) tickets to the United States.”

Regarding an eventual crisis in Europe

He stated that the government remains very attentive and would take double actions in terms of publicity to mitigate any economic slowdown.
