The political movement “Joining Forces with Leonel” (JOIN), led by businessman Ray Fabián, was founded this past weekend in this city with the help of more than a hundred Dominicans, including businesspeople, professionals, community members, religious leaders, students, housewives, and regular citizens. “This movement was born to support Dr. Leonel Fernández, because we analyzed the political, social, and economic conditions of the DR and the potential candidates for 2024, and we unanimously concluded that only the former president is the one who best matches our ideals and represents us as a political project,” Fabián said, speaking to those in attendance who had not dabbled in politics.
“As a project, we are committed to working together to design and implement an education model in the field of technology that contributes to the growth, bolstering, and innovation of society, generating a healthy and competitive social environment,” he said. The current government, he said, “has failed society in education, citizen security, losing control of delinquency, and with the family basket through the roof,” and it is no secret that our nation is currently experiencing one of the biggest government crises in history.
Máximo Corsino, the president of the People’s Force (FP) chapter in New Jersey, as well as businessmen Henry Abreu and Quilvio Mantesino, the general coordinator of the constituency 1-USA’s external sector, and others, also spoke.
