Dominican inflation moderates and economic growth would be among the highest in Latin America, says Central Bank

Inflation levels remain high in Latin America, influenced by international commodity prices.

However, eleven of the eighteen countries in the region have higher inflation than the Dominican Republic.

It indicates that to counteract inflationary pressures, monetary policy rates (TPM) have been significantly increased in relation to their pre-pandemic levels.

In the Dominican case, monetary measures are helping to moderate inflation in a context where economic growth would be among the highest in the region.
