Santo Domingo.- In the second day of interviews by the Inter-American Human Rights Commission (IACHR) delegation in the country, more than 2,000 cases, reports, testimonies and petitions by offspring of Haitians have already been compiled.
Entire families have been taken to the reception centers where they state their situation as the result of the Constitutional Court ruling on Dominican nationality.
A repeat of Monday, dozens of buses started arriving at 8am Tuesday to a clubhouse of the Santo Domingo State University (UASD), on the Capital’s Malecon, where IACHR officials interviewed dozens of women, many with children, including newborn, to explain their situation, after receiving guidance from pro Haitian groups and NGOs.
