Medina attends SICA-EU Summit in Panama

Panama City.– President Danilo Medina attended Fridayafternoon the 42nd Summit of Heads of State and Government of the CentralAmerican Integration System (SICA), taking place in Panama’s Coclé province,where the leaders are discussing regional security among other issues.

At the summit, the Dominican Republic will assume the protempore presidency of the regional entity for the semester ending June 2014.

During this period the country shall be responsible forimplementing and monitoring projects, agreements and goals set by the regionalbody and will have the opportunity to share its experiences and contribute moreactively to the process of strengthening regional integration.
