Caracas.- Venezuelapresident Nicolas Maduro announced Tuesday that Dominican Republic and Haiti agreedto form a high-level commission to deal with and seek a solution to several problemswhich both Governments have been "dealing with" in the past fewmonths.
In a speech during a ceremony to honor liberator SimonBolivar in Venezuela’s National Pantheon attended by the 20 leaders of the ALBA-TCP-Petrocaribepact countries, Maduro said five members from each country will form the commission
"I therefore announced the formation of thishigh-level Commission agreed by presidents Danilo Medina and Michel Martelly,to address various issues on the bilateral agenda, and seek a just, fair andbalanced solution," he said.
The Venezuela leader said presidents Medina and Martelly agreedto invite his country to the dialogue, which will also include the UN, theEuropean Union and Caricom.
Maduro spoke to inaugurate the Petrocaribe Summit held inCaracas yesterday.
