High pressure system means fewer showers

Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecasts fewer showers today, from a high pressure system located over the waters of the Atlantic coast.

It said the remnants of cloudiness associated with a trough moving eastward caused last night’s rains across the country.

Onamet adds that temperatures will be seasonably mild at night and early morning, and issued small craft warnings as higher than normal waves continue along the Atlantic coast.
