Cloudiness, scattered showers increase, Atlantic surf still high

Santo Domingo.- The prevailing East wind will dominate Tuesday’s weather, with humidity dragged to the national territory bringing widely scattered showers in the Northeast, Southeast and Central Mountains.

The National Meteorology Office (ONAMET) forecasts increasing cloudiness and showers Tuesday evening for the Northwest, North, Border Zone and Central Cibao, as a low pressure system over eastern Cuba moves eastward.

It said the frontal system will also increase cloudiness and showers for Wednesday and Thursday.

ONAMET forecasts higher than normal waves will dominate marine conditions in all coasts, where small craft are cautioned against venturing out to sea, adding that the surge in the Atlantic Coast will increase Wednesday morning.
