Washington can help Dominican Republic “cleanup” titles mess

Santo Domingo.- U.S. ambassador Raul Yzaguirre yesterday joined the ever lower voices in the scandal of the fraudulent titles in Bahia de las Aguilas, calling their “cleanup” very important for investment and the country’s development, and offered expert help from the U.S. for the government.

"Hopefully these issues will be fixed, the cleanup of the titles is needed for the investment necessary for progress," he said, adding that he expects the issue will be resolved.

Speaking to reporters in the American Chamber of Commerce’s monthly luncheon, the diplomat called the case extremely important, so we have talked to members of the cabinet and the Embassy offered to bring an expert on titles to advise the Government.
