Medina breaks with tradition, as many await cabinet changes

Santo Domingo.- Expectations in the National Palace heighten Thursday on whether president Danilo Medina might issue new decrees and affect changes in his cabinet.

There are reports that the decrees could be released as soon as today, although Presidency spokesperson Roberto Rodriguez said he’s unaware of when the announced changes would materialize.

Meanwhile Medina arrived at the National Palace before 8am, as usual, despite yesterday’s hectic schedule attending the Independence Day celebrations.

Journalists assigned to the National Palace have been eagerly awaiting new developments since yesterday, when contrary to tradition, there were no announcements of decrees designation or removing senior officials.
