Backlogged high Court starts with U.S. extraditable

Santo Domingo.- The Supreme Court’s (SCJ) Penal Chamber tomorrow Wednesday will hear the extradition request for Oscar Ezequiel Rodriguez, charged with drug trafficking in the United States.

Penal Chamber president, justice Miriam German Brito, will inaugurate her bench with the hearing of this case.

The newly formed Supreme Court, which last week revealed that it found nearly 10,000 cases pending sentences, is expected to expedite its work schedule to hand down rulings more often.
