SD. The Presidency’s Adviser on Drugs on Wednesday agreed with the Australian publication Institute for Economy and Peace, which placed the Dominican Republic in 93rd position among the world’s most violent nations, dropping from its former rank of 70.
Marino Vinicio Castillo (Vincho) said such action is explained by "the increase in drug trafficking in the country."
He said that kidnappings, contract killings and other modalities of organized crime have influenced in making the Dominican Republic more violent.
