Police nab German in 47M euro fraud

Boca Chica, Dominican Republic, Dominican Police agents assigned to INTERPOL on Sunday detained in the entrance of the resort town, Detlef Spiess, a German wanted in his country on charges of defrauding citizens of several countries out of more than 47 million euros.

Between 2001 and 2005, according to Police, the scams were conducted with the use of professional investment fraud, embezzlement, insider trading to materialize deals, public document forgery, forged titles and money laundering.
